It’s been a joy to serve our members and we appreciate you being a part of this remarkable year. We are proud to have been ranked by Forbes in June 2018 as the #1 Best-in-State Credit Union in Nebraska. In addition, Metro received the highest overall ranking score of any financial institution, bank or credit union, in Nebraska.

Metro Credit Union was pleased to interact with our members and support a variety of community-wide events in 2018. We held our Annual Meeting in March where attendees enjoyed dinner, the board report and prize drawings. Also during the spring, Metro Credit Union sponsored NE SciFest, a series of events around Nebraska that engage children and adults in science.

Metro Credit Union sponsored the Celebrates America concert on Friday, June 29^th rockin’ at Memorial Park with the bands; The Confidentials, BOSTYX featuring David Victor formerly of BOSTON and Starship with Mickey Thomas. It was a fantastic event with music and fireworks viewed by an estimated crowd of 65,000 people despite the heat wave.

September brought Metro’s annual MemberFest to a new location – the Baxter Arena.  It was a great event that combined our past branch location celebrations which allowed more attractions and games with the larger space. There was entertainment for members of all ages as well as food with The Pancake Man, cotton candy and a hotdog meal.

In October, Metro Credit Union co-sponsored the Trick or Trunk with Woodhouse. Held at the Ralston Arena, this event brought many adorable ghouls and goblins in costume to trick or treat at vehicles outside the Ralston Arena for safe trick-or-treating.

hroughout the year we had some exciting giveaways on our social media from Husker tickets to gift cards. Make sure to visit Metro Credit Union’s Facebook to take part in those give a ways.  With the upcoming holidays, we will also be accepting diapers and toys from Dec. 5^th to Dec. 14th for our Annual Holiday Fee Exchange.  Members can receive one fee reversal, up to $28.  We also have our annual Skip-A-Loan and $500 Holiday Loan program so you can use that extra cash for the holidays. We’re excited for an additional office as well as new products and services in 2019. Metro will be opening a new branch located at 45^th and Fontenelle, to be completed in early 2019. We also will have an online financial educational tool to help you make money decisions today while preparing for tomorrow.
