Lukas Partners, event manager for Metro Credit Union Celebrates America Memorial Park concert and fireworks show, announces BOSTYX featuring David Victor formerly of BOSTON will perform Friday, June 29. Due to unforeseen circumstances, Survivor is not able to perform at the event. Starship featuring Mickey Thomas will follow BOSTYX.


BOSTYX featuring David Victor formerly of BOSTON features all the hits of BOSTON and Styx together in one amazing, harmonious and powerful live show. David Victor, lead singer of BOSTYX, is a former lead singer/guitarist for multi-platinum superstars BOSTON.

Look for BOSTYX to prime the Memorial Park crowd with BOSTON hits that include “Peace of Mind,” “Foreplay/Long Time” and “More than a Feeling” and Styx classics, such as “Lady,” “Blue Collar Man” and “Come Sail Away.”



Talent Overview

Starship Featuring Mickey Thomas
Mickey Thomas owns the soaring voice that propelled Starship through the 1980s. Thomas joined Jefferson Starship as lead vocalist in 1979 and immediately scored a No. 1 hit with “Jane.” The group was renamed Starship and continued a string of hits that included “No Way Out,” “We Built This City,” “Sara” and an Oscar nomination for the No. 1 hit “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now” from the movie “Mannequin.” Other top hits were “Find Your Way Back,” “Stranger,” “Laying It on the Line,” and “It’s Not Over Till It’s Over,” which became Major League Baseball’s theme in 1987.

BOSTYX features all the hits of BOSTON and Styx together in one amazing, harmonious and powerful live show. The Confidentials
The Confidentials are a power 10-piece act fronted by the Spurgeon brothers – Stan and Steve. They are known for their funky, soulful, good-natured and spirited performances. In 2006, The Confidentials were featured in Modern Bride as one of the 150 hottest bands across the nation. Hits “Mama’s Song” and “Angel” reflect the unique vocals and sound styling that are the group’s trademark.


SHOW SCHEDULE

6 p.m. – USAF Heartland of America Band Brass Trumpets perform National Anthem as VFW Post 2503 handles “Presentation of Colors.”

6:10 to 6:50 p.m. – Omaha’s own The Confidentials will open the concert.

7:15 to 8:20 p.m. – BOSTYX featuring David Victor formerly of BOSTON performs.

8:45 to 10 p.m. – Starship Featuring Mickey Thomas takes the stage.

10 p.m. – Concert concludes with fireworks set to patriotic and popular music.
