When you click the “Login” button on Metro's home page to access Web Teller, your account number and password are safeguarded by Metro’s SSL technology. SSL technology protects your information by encrypting your account number and password before it leaves your personal computer when you log in to Web Teller.

To determine if encryption is being used on a web site, look for the following two items:
 
 
  1. “https://” will appear in the address bar of your browser. The "s" stands for "secure".
  2. Locked padlock icon – this icon will appear in the lower right corner of your screen if you are using Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, or Firefox.
