How CDs Work

If immediate access to funds is not of primary importance, a Metro Credit Union Certificate of Deposit may be your best saving option. Metro Credit Union issues CDs for periods ranging from 3 months to 5 years and we always have competitive rates. Open a Certificate of Deposit with as little as $500.00. Once opened, your rate is locked in for the term of the certificate.

You can even choose how you wish to receive the dividends you'll earn. Metro will be happy to issue a check on the first day of each month, transfer earnings into your Metro savings or checking account, or have your dividends compounded directly back to your CD. In case of emergencies, funds may be accessed with a minimal penalty.

When shopping for certificate rates, don't forget to check out Metro's monthly specials.
